In the first decades of the last century, the development of agricultural co-operation boosted rational forms for the management of vineyards, wine-making and the marketing of the products, in which the vine-dressers were the protagonists of the entire production and distribution chain. And so, in 1933, thanks to the commitment of a small group of vine-growers, the "Cantina Cooperativa di Canelli" was founded.

The chance for better economic prospects, that convinced the agricultural workers to face the problems of wine-making and distribution, was substantial. This wasn't, however, the only reason why, over the years, the Cantina has made a significant contribution to the creation of the “Muscat culture“.

Other reasons arose, in fact: the pride and obstinacy of the associated vine-dressers, the competitive spirit to produce the best grapes, and the desire to obtain good quality wines.

The values of the first vine-dressers are still unchanged today: the obstinacy and the commitment to invest in plant and technology are the guarantee of the fulfilment of objectives: a constant search for the best qualitative characteristics of the products, the maintenance of a quality-price ratio that allows for a growing diffusion of the products, both on the Italian market and the foreign ones, continuing and honouring the intelligent initiatives of the first associated vine-dressers.
